ACID PRO 8 LOOPS PRO
I have yet to fully uncover many of the extra features contained within the generous package of VST's and Plug-Ins which came bundled, but to finally have a fresher version of Acid Pro with 64-bit compatibility makes this a huge plus point for me. The fact that previous Acid Projects were easily imported also was a big boon for me allowing me to pick up from where I left off with Acid 7.
On purchasing the DVD hard copy of Acid Pro 8 last month my initial fears of the original layout being unrecognisable were abated, albeit with a more modern, dark grey background.
ACID PRO 8 LOOPS UPDATE
As the years passed by and other D.A.W.s such as Fruity Loops, Ableton, Reason and Cubase dominated the means of music production, I was tentatively delighted to hear that Acid would be receiving a long overdue update from MAGIX. ACID has a world-class, 20-year heritage and, with VST3 support coming soon in a free update, ACID Pro 8 is very much the creative DAW for today's forward-thinking artists. After purchasing my very first D.A.W., Sony Acid Pro 7 in 2014 I was a touch disheartened to discover that it was soon to be rendered obsolete by Sony, and loath to have to learn a new music making program. It combines ACID's famous easy workflow with pro-level features, over 1000 worth of new instruments and effects, and 9 GB of all-new ACIDized loops.
